Pink

Neha Isloor

Melting away like cotton candy,

The pink clouds wandered above my head

The air so fresh and crisp around

Welcoming every feathered friend

The evening glow upon the city

Enticing to every human eye

The cool breeze touched me ever so gently;

The listener to every humans' cry

The clouds were on their journey

Maintaining their humble pace in glee,

An untold race with an untold winner

Like a swan, floating gracefully.

The glowing rays were on a decline

The dusk was on its blushing cue

The sun kept peeking even then

Refusing to accept the mortals' blue

Among the billions, sat alone

On my rooftop looking above

The pink sky embracing each sad soul

And healing them with a glimpse of love.
