I walked towards you, trudging through the heaviness of the air
You walked further and further away
Keeping me on my toes
I ran as the wind pushed me towards my desire
I got hold of you, and you got hold of me
You pulled me towards you
And threw us into the pool
And then I fell in love
I fell deeper and deeper inside this pool I could not understand
The forces numbing my senses, the air leaving my lungs, as I drowned in the moment
Until
Until you pulled me close, closer than ever before
The currents parted, the schools swarmed in a circle
You stared into my eyes, overflowing the pool with your tears of love
And I was pulled out, out of my misery, out of my senses
Until
Until there came a time where you had to pull back
Where you had to look away and rest your eyes
And I saw you fade away into the water
The cold, deceptive water
And I opened my eyes to a white wall
A wall that hung above me
I waited for it to drop onto me, take my pain away
But it stayed there
If only
You had stayed there
And it was then that I longed to drown back into my bubble
Never leaving
Safe, calm, happy
But I couldn't
And so I spent the rest of my life trying to stay afloat, only to drown in the end anyway
At least I finally drowned
And now I can come find you
I'm coming, my love
I won't let them take you away again
